The inspiring story of Peter Baines who on December 1, 2024, at the age of 58, set off from the north of Thailand to run 1400km over 26 days.

His goal? To raise $1 million.

Once a forensic investigator with the NSW Police, he was deployed to Thailand after the Boxing Day tsunami where he met 32 children orphaned by the tsunami.

Baines started a charity with the objective of building a home for these children. This home marked the finish line of his run, exactly 20 years to the day of the tsunami.

In that 20-year period, the charity has raised more than $40 million.
